Having received many massages over the years from several different therapists I have learnt from personal experience the benefits of looking after ones body and I wish to pass on this knowledge and support to others.

I am a keen sportswoman myself  & have been involved in sports throughout my life, so I understand the demands of sports and day to day life on the body and how important it is that we allow our bodies to rest and recuperate but also give it some tender loving care.

I have trained & played competitively in: Netball, Hockey, Swimming, & running. I took up running aged 30 & now train & compete on the track, cross country & road. I run anything from 1500m-marathon, with the longer races on the road being my favourite. I have completed 13 marathons & have a triathlon & ultra on my to do list! I have also worked a desk job, spent long hours driving & have a toddler so completely understand & have experienced the physical demands on the body of training in sports, competing in sports & the mental & physical demands of day to day life.

After 16years of working with troubled teenagers in July 2018 I made the career change to sports massage therapy working 6 days a week with flexible hours to fit in where I can with clients training & lifestyle. I am thoroughly enjoying the career change & I'm continuing to learn from experience & have already built up a wide range of clientele including athletes, netballers, runners, cyclists, triathletes, rowers, powerlifters, builders, nurses, office workers, students, retired persons, squash players, mother's, pregnant women, children & footballers.

I plan to increase my experience & repertoire over the next 12 months so keep an eye out for new treatments.

Sports Massage

Is not just for athletes & is appropriate and successful for everyone.  Muscular problems can affect anyone & can be caused by exercise or they can arise with lifestyles such as sitting at a desk, heavy lifting , driving & stress. There are so many other tasks that we carry out in our day to day lives that can create aches and pains all over the body and sports massage can help manage/alleviate this.

Dry Needling
Use of needles to effectively treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Dry Needling is a safe, effective, low risk, minimal invasive treatment that targets specific trigger points within the muscles that are painful.
Therapeutic Massage

In need of relaxation, release of stress & tension, timeout or just to switch off & be pampered? A gentle, light touch massage aids both physical & mental & emotional well being. A massage aids circulation within the body & allows the body to relax & recharge& can of benefit to everyone.

Hot Stones Massage
This involves the use of smooth, heated stone placed on specific points on your body or the stones may be used to give the massage. The localized heat and weight of the stones warm and relax the muscles, allowing the massage therapist to apply deeper pressure to those areas without causing discomfort. The stones can be used both in a therapeutic way or to aid a sports massage

Dry Cupping
Use of cups to stretch muscle increasing relaxation and pain within muscle, and increases blood circulation
